Pancakes

Simon really likes pancakes. He prefers to eat them whole - no breaking them up in to pieces!

I took this series of photos with my new iPhone, which has cameras facing both directions. So he got to see himself on the screen as I was taking them - that explains the contemplative look in the first, the smile mid-bite in the second, and the goofy grin in the third!

We got our camera back!

I've used the fact that we didn't have our camera as an excuse for not posting, but no more! We got it back this past weekend, and accordingly, I will start catching up.

First, here are some photos and videos from the weekend at the Lake, when we left the camera behind. So these are nearly 2 months old, but enjoy anyway :)

Legos

Simon is getting really good at stacking his legos. He built this tower largely by himself, with a little help from me in the "tower stabilization" department toward the end. Here he is trying to put a finishing touch on top:

Easier when standing:

Uh-oh!

And starting over again:

Color puzzle

Simon still loves puzzles, and he's started getting really good at the puzzle that has fish of different colors. He matches them all correctly every time, can correctly identify most colors, and can name a few! (Boo, puh-ble, bow and baa)

Simon's magnet barn

Simon recently rediscovered his magnet barn toy that he got from the WI Rybas for his first birthday! It's got magnets that make five different animals, with one magnet for the head and one for the, um, other end. You put them together in the barn to make a match. After you put the magnets in, you push them like this:

Simon sometimes makes matches, but he prefers making silly combinations.

After you push the magnets in, if they match, the barn sings a song praising you for putting them together. If you mismatch them though...

it sings a very funny song! In this case, it sang "You put a horse in front, you put a pig behind, put them together, and what do you find? A horse pig??? That's SILLY!"

Simon finds it hil-AR-ious when it tells you "That's silly!"
