Merry Christmas!

First of all, the "official" Christmas photo of Simon. :)



This evening we went to the early "family" service at Old South. There was singing and there were candles, and there were friends of ours who have a new 6-week-old baby boy, portraying the holy family in the informal "pageant." Baby Mason was a trooper and slept through the whole thing. Much fun!

Here are Simon and me during the passing of the light, while we were singing "Silent Night." Fear not - the angle of the photo makes it look like his hand is a LOT closer to the flame than it actually was.



Finally, Simon's stocking has been hung by the fake fireplace with care.



This stocking was my uncle Craig's, then my sister Elizabeth's, and now it is Simon's. We're happy to have so much family history here.
